Hello lovelies, the last few days have been really sunny and warm and so I have the perfect recipes for you: 4 delicious iced tea recipes. We love to drink ice-cold drinks in summer, we never run out of ice cubes in our household. Of course our favorites in summer also include iced tea, because it's so refreshing. But unfortunately most of the pre-made iced teas contain a lot of sugar and are just too sweet for my taste. That’s why today I’m more than pleased to show you four simple recipes in collaboration with Migros Bio / Alnatura Switzerland* on how you can easily make your own iced tea!
Organic tea
The most important ingredient is of course TEA (and ice, but more on that later :-). I can only recommend you to use tea in organic quality. Conventional tea is often contaminated with pollutants and pesticides, we certainly don't want that in our glass. In addition, the tea from abroad is harvested under very poor working conditions. So it's better to go for the Migros Bio and Alnatura teas in organic quality!
For the iced tea recipes I chose the following flavors: **Alnatura ginger turmeric tea, Alnatura sleep well tea, Alnatura chai tea **and Migros organic forest berry tea.

We’re using them to make the following types of iced tea: peach-melon, cherry-lavender, wild berry mix and a chai latte float with vanilla ice cream (yum)! I hope these varieties appeal to you and you try them out. I will tell you later which ones my favorites are, but here are the recipes:
4 delicious iced tea recipes

Peach-melon iced tea:

Peach-melon iced tea

Refreshing iced tea with peach, melon and mint
Tee
- 1,5 liter (7 cups) water
- 4 teabags Alnatura ginger turmeric tea
- Juice of 1 organic lemon
- 1 organic peach
- 2-3 twigs fresh mint
- Melon balls
- Sliced lemon, ice cubes
Syrup
- 500 gr (1lb. 1.6 oz.) organic peaches
- 1/2 small organic sugar melon
- 200 ml (1 cup) water
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
Tea
Boil the water and pour the tea in a large pitcher – steep the tea, remove the teabags and let it cool off
Syrup
Finely chop the peaches and melon, put them in a pot and let them boil up with water and maple syrup, slightly mash the fruits
Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, then sieve it and let it cool off
Tea
Pour the cooled off syrup to the tea, add juice of 1 lemon, mint, 1 sliced peach, melon and ice cubes
If required add some more maple syrup – enjoy cold!

The peach-melon iced tea is really refreshing, with a delicious fruit taste and ta hint of mint and lemon. Tastes totally like summer and sun! In general I don't tend to sweeten very much, because you can always add more sweetness. I like to use maple syrup as a sweetener. Since it’s already liquid, it naturally dissolves well in tea. And then lots of ice cubes and fresh fruits - delicious! The more sun and summer, the sweeter the fruit!

You don't have to throw away the peach-melon pulp that you have left over from the syrup. I mixed it with coconut milk and some cream and made ice cream out of it!
Cherry-lavender iced tea
The next iced tea is one that you can drink well in the evening, because in addition to the delicious Alnatura sleep well tea with oat cabbage and linden flowers, it contains other ingredients that promote sleep: sour cherries and lavender. Sour cherries are a natural source of melatonin and thus help you fall asleep. You can get them from Alnatura in a jar (without added sugar) or frozen. In addition, of course, lavender, its calming effect has been known for a long time and I also love the fragrance.

Recipe:
Cherry-lavender iced tea

Sleep-promoting iced tea – perfect for summer nights
- 1 l (4 ¼ cups) water
- 3 teabags Alnatura sleep well tea
- 1 jar Alnatura sour cherries (alternatively: frozen sour cherries)
- 1-2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 4-5 twigs lavender
- ice cubes
Boil the water and pour the tea in a large pitcher – steep the tea, remove the teabags and let it cool off
Sweeten with maple syrup as much as you like
Add the sour cherries and their juice and serve it with lavender and ice cubes

The combination is so delicious, you can still taste the fine herbal tea of the "sleep well" mixture and the cherries and lavender go well with it. You can also freeze some of the cherries with the juice into ice cubes and then put them in the glass. So you have a cooling source and the iced tea doesn’t get so watery. And it's pretty to look at too! The children also really liked this iced tea, tonight I will use it to see whether sour cherries and lavender have the desired effect! 🙂

Wild berry iced tea
The next iced tea is definitely a children's favorite. Fruity wild berry tea, sweetened with date syrup, fresh lime juice and lots of frozen berries. Simple but very tasty and much better and healthier than any bought syrup.
