You may rate recipes and leave comments. By submitting a comment you grant us a non-exclusive right to display it on this website. Comments are moderated; we may edit for formatting or decline or remove content that is unlawful, offensive, spammy, or unrelated. You are responsible for what you post.

4. Recipes, nutrition and general information

Our recipes and articles are shared for inspiration and general information. Nutrition values are estimates calculated from typical ingredient data and may vary with products and portions. Nothing on this website is medical, nutritional, or other professional advice. Please check ingredients yourself if you have allergies or intolerances, and consult a qualified professional for dietary or health questions.

Digital products (such as e-books) offered on this website are sold through Lemon Squeezy, a Stripe company acting as merchant of record and authorized reseller. Your purchase contract is with Lemon Squeezy, which processes payment, applies applicable taxes, issues the invoice, and handles refunds under its buyer terms. Products are delivered digitally. 11. Frei-style Kitchen Planner

Access is valid for 12 months from purchase and can be activated on up to 3 devices. No automatic renewal. You get access immediately after purchase; the withdrawal terms are in Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms shown at checkout.

Who is responsible

Verena Frei, Untere Bahnhofstrasse 11, 8910 Affoltern am Albis, Switzerland ([email protected]) is the controller for personal data processed on frei-style.com. Processing is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors in the EEA, the GDPR.

What we process

Hosting and logs: our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA); technical access data (IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser information) is processed briefly to deliver and secure the site. Delivery and security: we use Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) as CDN and security layer, to serve our images, and Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms from spam. Cookies and analytics: strictly necessary cookies always run; analytics runs only with your consent, which you can change any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer. We use Google Analytics 4 with shortened IP addresses; data is retained for 14 months. Newsletter: we send our newsletter via beehiiv Inc. (USA); you can unsubscribe any time via the link in every email. Contact: messages via our contact form are transmitted through Resend, Inc. (USA); our mailbox runs on Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation, USA). Comments and ratings: our own system stores your name, email address, and comment text and your rating in a Cloudflare database; your IP address is processed briefly for spam and abuse prevention; published comments remain until you ask us to delete them. Purchases: digital products are sold via Lemon Squeezy (a Stripe company, USA) as merchant of record, which processes your order, billing, and payment data under its own privacy policy; we receive what is needed to provide the product.

International transfers

Vercel, Cloudflare, and Google are certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks. With our other US providers (beehiiv, Resend, Zoho, Lemon Squeezy) we rely on data processing agreements incorporating the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with Swiss addenda.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time with future effect by writing to [email protected]. Swiss residents may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); EEA residents may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. We do not sell personal information.

Security, retention, changes

The site is delivered over TLS encryption. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the stated purposes or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it. We will update this policy when our processing or the law changes.

Recipe Finder and Kitchen Planner

The ingredients you tap and your weekly plans are stored only in your browser. If you unlock the Kitchen Planner, we store your unlock code in encrypted form and your saved weekly plans (recipe names, number of people) in our database at Cloudflare (D1) so you can use them on several devices. For this we set a strictly necessary cookie (fs_planner, 30 days). Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy LLC as the seller (Merchant of Record). If you email yourself a shopping list, we pass your email address to Resend only to send it and do not store it.

Amazon Associates Programme

We take part in the Amazon EU Associates Programme (Amazon PartnerNet). On our pages, links to Amazon.de are marked as advertising links. When you click on such a link, a connection to Amazon is established and Amazon processes data in the process (e.g. your IP address). You only leave our site with that click; on our site itself, the Associates Programme sets no cookies. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Keimling Naturkost Affiliate Program (ADCELL)

On our German-language recipe pages we recommend suitable ingredients from Keimling Naturkost GmbH, Zum Fruchthof 7a, 21614 Buxtehude, Germany. These recommendations are advertising and are labeled as such. The links run through the ADCELL affiliate network operated by Firstlead GmbH, Rosenfelder Str. 15-16, 10315 Berlin, Germany. If you make a purchase at Keimling after clicking such a link, we receive a commission. The price you pay does not change.

When you click one of these links, you are first sent to a redirect address on frei-style.com (path /go/keimling/) and then via ADCELL to the Keimling shop. During this redirect we use the country of origin of your request as provided by our hosting provider Vercel to send you to the appropriate shop (keimling.de, keimling.at or keimling.ch), and we pass an identifier of the recipe page you clicked from (SubID) to ADCELL. Beyond the server log data described in the section "What we process", we store no data in this process. After the click, ADCELL places cookies or similar technologies in your browser to attribute a later purchase. This happens on the domains of ADCELL and Keimling, not on frei-style.com; ADCELL and Keimling are responsible for it.
