Disclosure policy
frei-style.com is a personal food blog by Verena Frei. It earns money from our own digital products, from affiliate links and from occasional brand collaborations. This is how we handle each of them.
Labels. Commercial content is labeled "Advertisement" on English pages and "Werbung" on German pages. The label sits directly at the product recommendation or link, and in German buying guides also at the top of the article.
Affiliate links. Product recommendations on this site contain affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking such a link, we earn a commission from the retailer. The price you pay stays the same. We take part in these programs:
- Amazon.de (Amazon Associates): links to products on Amazon.de and to Verena's Amazon storefront. The required statement: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."
- ADCELL (Firstlead GmbH, Berlin) and Awin (AWIN AG, Berlin): links to partner shops for ingredients, spices and tea. These appear on German pages only. The current shops are listed in the privacy section of our Terms.
The shop behind a recommendation is named directly at the recommendation.
How we choose products. Our recommendation boxes and buying guides link only to shops we have an affiliate program with, so our selection is not a complete market overview. Verena owns or uses some of the products herself; others we researched and selected. Where Verena speaks from her own experience, the text says so. A commission does not change our opinion of a product.
Discount codes. If we publish a partner's discount code and are paid for it, the label sits directly at the code.
Paid collaborations. Posts a brand pays us for are labeled at the top of the post and name the brand.
Free products. If a brand gives us products free of charge and we show or review them, we label that as advertising.
Our own products. We sell our own digital products in our shop. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, a Stripe company acting as merchant of record; details are in our Terms.
Display advertising. We do not currently run third-party display advertising on this website.
