Vegan stick bread with tofu wiener

Ingredients

  • 1/4 dice (approx. 10-15 gr fresh yeast (or 2 tsp dried yeast)
  • 300 ml (1 ¼ cup)  soy milk 
  • 1 Tbsp raw cane sugar
  • 400 gr (3 cups)  flour i.e. spelt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp fried onions 
  • 2 packages <strong>Taifun Tofu - Mini-Wiener</strong>
  • 1 Zucchini

Instructions

  1. Mix yeast with slightly warm milk and sugar and stir until fully dissolved
  2. Add flour, salt and olive oil and knead to a smooth dough
  3. Cover it up and let the dough rise in a slightly oiled bowl for approx. 2-3 hours
  4. Knead the fried onions into the dough
  5. Prepare sticks or skewers at the fireplace
  6. Knead the dough once again, slice the zucchini into thin stripes using a potato peeler
  7. Wrap a zucchini slice around the wiener and then a flat piece of the dough. Wrap them onto the sticks and bake them until they are well done
