Carrot bread & apple carrot jam with the Panasonic Croustina

A delicious and crispy bread, which is very fluffy due to carrots. The bitter sweet jam goes perfectly with it.

Ingredients

Carrot bread:

  • 1 tsp dried yeast
  • 400 gr 3 cups spelt flour type 630
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 150 gr 5 oz. carrots
  • 200 ml 3/4 cup water
  • 50 gr 1/3 cup sunflower seeds

Apple carrot jam:

  • 350 gr 12 oz. apples
  • 150 gr 5 oz. carrots
  • 1 piece of ginger 1-2 cm/0.4-0.8“
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 250 gr 1 ¼ cup jam sugar 2:1

Instructions

Carrot bread:

  • Finely grate the carrots
  • Put all ingredients one after the other into the Panasonic Croustina
  • Choose program 1
  • Right before the baking starts, sprinkle some sunflower seeds onto it

Apple carrot jam:

  • Wash and finely grate the apples (you don’t need to peel them)
  • Immediately mix them with lemon juice
  • Finely grate the carrots and add them to the apples
  • Add apples, carrots and sugar into the Panasonic Croustina alternatingly
  • Finely grate the ginger and add it
  • Choose program 18 and set time to 1 hour and 10 minutes
