Vegan gingerbread latte

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat milk
  • 2 tsp date syrup
  • 1-2 tsp gingerbread spice
  • frothed oat milk
  • 2 espresso, freshly brewed
  • 4 Tbsp whipped vegan cream (e.g. soy)
  • 2-3 pinches cinnamon
  • vegan speculoos cookies

Equipment: Espresso machine with milk frother

Instructions

  1. 1.Warm the oat milk with the date syrup and the spice until everything has dissolved well
  2. 2.Divide into 2 glasses
  3. 3.Pour a freshly brewed espresso into each
  4. 4.Add a little frothed milk on top
  5. 5.2 Tbsp of whipped cream each as a topping
  6. 6.Decorate with cinnamon and cookie crumbs and enjoy

Notes

A tip from my kitchen: warm the oat milk only gently – it should be hot but not boiling, so the foam stays stable and the spice develops its full aroma. For an especially festive look, sprinkle a few crumbled speculoos cookies and a dusting of cinnamon over the cream. If you like it less sweet, simply reduce the date syrup to taste.
