[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After we planned and waited so long, the day of departure finally came. So we flew with Singapore Airlines with the A380 to Singapore. The flight went smooth (thanks to sticker books, tv and iPad) and we landed early in the morning at 6 am. Since my brother and his family is living in SIN we stayed at there place and the girls have been exited to meet their 16 month old cousin.

Singapore

We took the day easy, went to a Hawker center nearby and spent some time at the pool. The first night was okay, but the girls have been awake from 1-4 am and just wanted to have a chat with mummy ;-(, but they eventually fell asleep again and we all slept till 11 am the next day. So Sunday morning we spent at my brothers quarter again, had local breakfast and in the afternoon we met with some friends of them and took a boot to a floating restaurant.

This was really a unique experience, to go in the place you literally walked through the restaurant owners apartment which was also the kitchen. The menu was seafood, veggies and rice and everything was really delicious. I’m really glad we had the chance to go to that place, I don’t think that is something you would usually do as a tourist.

It was already time to pack our things again, since the flight to Sydney was Tuesday evening.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="40px"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Sydney

We arrived in Sydney at 6 am Wednesday and even though we slept a bit at the airplane we all have been super tired. After checking in at the hotel (the Radisson at Liverpool street) we went for breakfast in a nice place in Liverpool Street: Macchiato – they had really good coffee and breakfast. Since our room wasn’t ready yet we went for a stroll in Hyde Park and up to the Botanical Garden, but since we all have been exhausted we took a taxi back to the hotel and took a 4 hour nap :-). Afterwards we explored Darking Harbour, the great playground and then took the ferry to Circular Quay, which was a super nice ride. We experienced sunset, drove by Luna Park, the Harbour Bridge and had the best view of the opera. We then took a stroll through The Rocks, had some dinner downtown and walked all the way back to the hotel.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

We then had a late brunch at “Speedos Cafe” a place which I can totally recommend, we had Pancakes, a Pitaya bowl and Shrimp Linguine and everything was delicious.  I would have loved to try their amazing looking cronuts, but I was to stuffed. We  went to the beach then and just watched the surfers, strolled up the shopping street and then took the bus back to the city.

Singapore & Sydney with kids

We had dinner at Darling Harbour again Thursday night.

Friday morning we went to get our Camper, which actually took the whole morning since the station was a long way behind the airport and then they wanted us to give a Camper which was kind of old and used. Since we had booked an StarRV which guarantees a RV less then 12 month old and under 50.000 km. So we complained and received another camper with only 3.000 km – way better.

So our camping adventure started…going to tell you more about our experience and the first problems we had in the next blogpost!

Happy travels!
