Puff pastry candies with dates

Ingredients
- 200 g Curry-mango tofu (smoked)
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1 vegan puff pastry (rolled-out)
- 4 Medjool-dates
- 8 tsp vegan cream cheese
- garlic powder
- salt
- soy cream to brush it

Instructions
- 1.Heat the oven to 180 degrees
- 2.Cut the curry-mango tofu (smoked) into pieces (8 pieces), approx. 0.5 cm wide
- 3.Fry them in a little coconut oil until crispy
- 4.Roll out the puff pastry and cut into about 8 small rectangles
- 5.Season the cream cheese with garlic powder and salt and place 1 teaspoon each on a puff pastry rectangle
- 6.Halve and stone the dates, place a piece of tofu and half a date on top of the cream cheese
- 7.Roll up the puff pastry and fold the ends to create a candy shape
- 8.Place on baking paper and brush with soy cream
- 9.Bake until golden for about 20-25 minutes
- 10."Knot" the ends with chives and serve the parcels warm or cold
Notes
The candies are best straight from the oven, while the puff pastry is still nice and crisp. If you want to prepare them ahead, fill and shape them the day before, keep them well covered in the fridge and bake just before serving. Other soft dates work in place of Medjool - just cut the pitted pieces a little smaller. And a tip against leaking: don't use too much cream cheese and press the ends together firmly.
