Syrup
- 1.Finely chop the peaches and melon, put them in a pot and let them boil up with water and maple syrup, slightly mash the fruits
- 2.Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, then sieve it and let it cool off
Tea
- 1.Pour the cooled off syrup to the tea, add juice of 1 lemon, mint, 1 sliced peach, melon and ice cubes
- 2.If required add some more maple syrup – enjoy cold!
Notes
Tip from my kitchen: the riper the peach and melon, the less maple syrup you need – taste the syrup before sweetening. For extra freshness I freeze some of the tea into ice cubes so the drink doesn't turn watery as they melt. I blend the leftover fruit pulp with a little coconut milk into a quick ice cream, so nothing goes to waste.
