Ingredients

  • 1 fennel bulb
  • 1 bunch celery
  • 2 apples
  • 1 tsp hemp seeds
  • 1 handful leaf spinach
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2-3 dates
  • 1 lime
  • 3-4 leaves fresh mint

Equipment: blender/juicer

Instructions

  1. 1.Juice the celery, fennel and apple with the Sage Bluicer Pro
  2. 2.Add the other ingredients to the blender jug and blend into a fine smoothie
  3. 3.Add ice cubes and, if needed, water or coconut water to taste and to reach the desired consistency

Notes

The smoothies taste best fresh and nicely chilled. When I juice the vegetables I don't toss the pulp – I turn it into vegetable stock or crackers. For extra creaminess I freeze the banana for the red smoothie in portions, so I barely need any ice cubes later. If the green smoothie is too sharp for you, an extra date or a piece of apple helps.
